"Finishing second just means you’re first in the losers line!" and that’s how we in Pi Kappa Alpha feel. If you’re going to compete, then win. Always know that winning is our business and business is good. Here is just a brief list of our accomplishments over the last several years:

A quick look at our last two years at ULM:

Spring 2008 - (as of 5/1/08) - A Pike was elected IFC President for the 2nd consecutive year * A Pike was slected as CAB President * Six Pikes are SGA Senators * We received the rating of EXCELLENT from our Internation Consultant for the 20th consecutive time* a Pike was elected as the Student Government President * a Pike was elected as the Greek Council President * a Pike was elected as the Senior Class President * Pike won the Greek Organization of the Year Award for the 2nd time in the 3 year history of that award * Pike was named as ULM's Organization of the Year for the 6th time in the 8 year history of that award * Pikes were chosen to Mortar Board, Phi Kappa Phi, and won some many individual awards we can't list them here.

Fall 2007 - 4/5 men selected to the IFC / Panhellenic Christmas Court were Pikes * A Pike was selected as the new AOPI Beau * The Secretary of the Interfraternity Council is a Pike, and the Fall 07 President of the IFC is a Pike * The new President of the Greek Council is a Pike * Five Pikes are SGA Senators * A Pike won the CAB Vice-Presidency position in a campus wide election * Two brothers were selected "who's who" Among American College Student * 9 brothers ran for campus wide positions * We were named a 5-STAR organization at ULM - the highest ranking you can receive * Two brothers (Joseph Beard and Chuck Ganley) were selected to be on the 2008 PREP Staff * our Fall 2007 Pike Grade Point Average was a 2.995 and more!

Fall 2006 / Spring 2007 Semesters - 3/6 men selected to the IFC / Panhellenic Christmas Court were Pikes as was the "most popluar" Greek pledge * Pikes were selected as Phi Mu Beaus, AOPI Beaus, and the Kappa Delta Dagger Man * The President and Treasurer of the Interfraternity Council are Pikes * The Vice President of the Greek Council is a Pike * Five Pikes are SGA Senators * A Pike is the Sophmore Class President, the Junior Class President and the Senior Class President * A Pike was slected to be a 31 Ambassador * A Pike is the CAB Treasurer * Three Pikes were named as Mardi Gras Beau for their respective colleges * We donated over 6000 hours to local organizations this past year * we were rated excellent by our International Consultant for the 19th consecutive time... and much more.

For Pike at ULM, excellence is not a destination, it is a journey. Here are the results of our drive to be the best in all we do:

WON! The Harvey T. Newell Award for being the most improved Pike Chapter in the United States.

WON! The Robert Adger Smythe Award for being in the top 1% of Pike Chapters in the United States and Canada - won the award fourteen
of the last sixteen years including the last nine consecutive years which is currently the longest winning streak in all of Pi Kappa Alpha.

WON! Pi Kappa Alpha International Programming Awards in Rush, Community Service (three times), Risk Management, Housing, Athletics, Alumni Relations, Financial Management, Pledge Education, Alumni / International Work Day (multiple times), Campus Involvement and in Scholarship for earning a 3.00 for the 06-07 year at ULM!

WON! Prestigious Pi Kappa Alpha Educational Foundation Donor Award thirteen of the last fourteen years including the last 12 consecutive years.

WON! International Chapter of Excellence Certificate the last 19 consecutive years.

WON! - Interfraternity Council Chapter of the Year EIGHT straight years.

WON! - Junior Interfraternity Council Pledge Class of the Year five of six years.

WON! -ULM Interfraternity Council Programming Awards every year we have participated.

WON! - Three Pikes have been named Interfraternity Council Scholar of the Year.

RECOGNIZED FOR! - having more members earn a perfect 4.00 than any other fraternity at ULM.

RECOGNIZED FOR! - donating more hours to local charities than all other ULM fraternities.

RECOGNIZED FOR! - being the first fraternity at ULM to ever earn a 3.00 - this was with 88 men! 

RECOGNIZED FOR! - pledging and initiating more members than any other ULM fraternity.

Pike University Results:  > WON! - Chapter Excellence Certificate / WON! - Most Outstanding Housing Program / Named winner of the Regional Presidents Award / Named as the Most Outstanding Pike Chapter in Louisiana and Mississippi for the second time in three years.

> 2003 - We won all 6 Programming Awards . . .Excellence in Educational, Scholastic, Recreational, Alumni, Community Service, and Alcohol Awareness programming.  
> 2004 - Named as the top Academic Fraternity at ULM * Brother Adam Cossey was named as the Greek Man of the Year * Fraternity was recognized for its outstanding support of the Cerebral Palsy Telethon
> 2005 - Greek Week Champion!
> 2006 - Greek Awards Banquet - We won: Greek Scholarship Programming Award * Membership Development and Programming Award * Risk Management and Programming Award * Alumni Relations and Programming Award * Outstanding Public Relations Award * Outstanding Interfraternity Council Officer was our Gabe Smith * Outstanding Interfraternity Council Member was our Gary McCourt * Outstanding Alumni Service Award went to our advisor, Tom Walpole * Outstanding New Member was our Micah Pulliam * Greek Man of the Year was our Daniel Crosser * and we were named as the Greek Chapter of the Year.
> 2007 - Greek Awards Banquet - We won Greek Man of the Year and Greek Alumnus of the Year.
> 2008 - Greek Awards Banquet - we wonon Greek Man of the Year, Organization of the year for the 2nd time in the 3 year history of that award, took 2nd (out of 14) place in Greek Week, and two of our programs were named as the best in the Greek System.

2001 & 2002 & 2004 & 2005 & 2006 & 2008- named as ULM's ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR - beating out over 150 other organizations (the award was first given in 2001 - we've one it 6 of those 8 years)!

2005 & 2006& 2008- named as ULM's GREEK ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR - for the 2nd time in the 3 year history of that award. No other ULM fraternity has won this.

ATHLETICS = Consistent Winners - we have won the All Fraternity Athletic Championship 14 of the last 17 years, and we have also won the All-University Championship 10 of the last 17 years. WHO has won more at ULM?
