In 1972, the Pikes were established on the campus
of the University of Louisiana @ Monroe and since that time, we have
risen
to
the top
of the Greek ladder at ULM - it is a position we enjoy and a position
we intend
on maintaining.
The desire to continue to fill our ranks with Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen drives Pi Kappa Alpha to rush year around. The question you might ask is, Why choose Pi Kappa Alpha? The answer is simple:
Pi Kappa Alpha is a fraternity created to enhance your intellectual and personal potential. This objective requires that a community of trust exist among our brothers along with a faithful devotion to truth and honor. Integrity is demanded in all relationships and pursuits, both personal and academic. At the very core of Pi Kappa Alpha’s purpose is the understanding that each individual member is joined to his brothers by a common bond.
Each man who associates with Pi Kappa Alpha is expected to have the highest ethical and personal standards. Pi Kappa Alpha asks of its members that they always do their utmost to bring honor to the fraternity.
Academically - we’ll provide you with study hall sessions, grade checks, academic big-brother match ups and tutoring sessions. We’ll also provide financial incentive for earning a high grade point average. Pi Kappa Alpha's grades have been above the ULM All-Men's average the last 24 years. Our Chapter's Scholarship Program was rated as the best in the ULM Fraternity System for the last 4 years and we rank first academically at ULM. Our fraternity average for the Fall 2007 semester was a 3.0!
Athletically - we’ll offer you the opportunity to win (and be associated with winners) every time you step on the athletic field. Pi Kappa Alpha has won 14 of the last 17 ULM All-Fraternity Athletic Championships and 10 of the last 17 All-University Athletic Championships - we are consistent winners.
Socially - we’ll give you the opportunity to get the most out of the college experience - ask around, there’s

Leadership - in the area
of personal development, we have a Campus Involvement Chairman who
will assist you in joining other ULM organizations
- we ask that you NOT limit your involvement at ULM to just Pi Kappa
Alpha - we want you to enjoy ULM as much as possible. From the President
of the SGA, to the President of CAB, to the President of the Interfraternity
Council, to the President of the Greek Council, to the President of
the Senior Class President, to 6 SGA Senators,
to members of ULM's 31
Ambassadors,
to being named as ULM's Organization of the Year for five of the seven
times it has been awarded (including the 07-08 trophy), and to being
the Greek Organization of the Year two of the three times it has been
given (including the 07-08 trophy).... Pi Kappa Alpha
is the leader in Campus Involvement at ULM.
Preparation - preparation for life outside college begins inside Pi Kappa Alpha. Leadership, Community Involvement, Financial Responsibilities, and Gentleman behavior are just some of the areas Pi Kappa Alpha stresses in its everyday fraternity existence.
Brotherhood - we don’t rely on it, we make it. We’re not looking for a guy who "needs" a fraternity. To pledge Pi Kappa Alpha is to subscribe to a higher ideal of achievement and friendship - it is attaining the feeling of always having men to stand by your side through the good times as well as the not so good times.
